I stopped in on a Friday evening and was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get a table right away with no wait. It's a smaller restaurant, but there are several tables as well as bar-style seating around the cooking area. I ordered the hibachi steak and shrimp, which started with a salad and miso soup. The salad came with the dressing already on it. I'm not really a dressing person, so I would have preferred being asked or having the dressing served on the side. I did try it, but it wasn't really for me, so I didn't eat much of the salad. The miso soup was served nice and hot and had a few pieces of seaweed, but there were literally only about two small pieces of tofu in the entire bowl, and I didn't notice any green onions. I would have enjoyed it more with a little more tofu and the usual additions. The main meal was definitely the highlight. The steak was cooked perfectly, the shrimp was amazing, and the vegetables were great. They also give you a very generous amount of food, the serving was definitely not small! I liked the fried rice, although I wish it had more egg in it. I love egg in my fried rice, and I think I only found two very small pieces in the entire servi

Please check your food guys. Iβve visited this location and the food is good. The staff is nice as well. The problematic part is the past two times Iβve found black hard plastic in my food of different sizes each time. Itβs mixed into the hibachi and whatever comes from the grill. When I first noticed it I assumed it to be charred or burnt food bits from the grill. Itβs either chipped pieces from the flat top or plastic of some sort from a spatula maybe. Either way not safe to consume I would think. what they originally told me was itβs from the back of the grill used. The first incident I brought the plastic to show them I even rinsed it under water to make sure it was not burnt food. The waitress said β oh wow someone else said the same thing a couple months agoβ. With that being said Just imagine how long this black plastic is being mixed into the food and being consumed unknowingly. Ive found full chips of plastic and micro pieces that have been broken up mixed in. The owner was upset throwing his hands around telling the girls it was something on the grill and they could remake it. I refused the remake due to his attitude also the fact that they told me they would look into

The tables are too small. Our chicken came out completely burned. The cost is too high for poor quality food and service. Our server just kept standing at the car and talking to the other servers.

This review is a long time overdue but needed. Since my husband and I moved to Chesapeake from Virginia Beach 5 years ago, we have been coming here. I consider myself a βsushi snobβ, and this sushi is always on point, in both quality and quantity. Their hibachi is also incredibly tasty and great portions. I will never go to another place for my sushi! Love me some Shiki! β€οΈ

Shiki Sushi & Hibachi is one of my favorite places to dine! Today, I tried a new menu itemβthe Jingle Bell Rollβand wow, it was incredible! The combination of fresh tuna, spicy crab, seaweed salad, topped with spicy tuna, spicy mayo, eel sauce, and crunchy crumbles created an amazing blend of flavors and textures. I think Iβve found my new favorite sushi roll! The staff is always attentive, friendly, and welcoming, making every visit a great experience. Highly recommend! βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ
